Chief Officer on Norwegian General Cargo
We are looking for Chief Officer on small Norwegian General Cargo Vessel!
Requirements
- D3 Certificate of Competency
- Valid medical certificate
- GOC (General Operator’s Certificate)
- SSO or ISPS certification
- ECDIS certification
- Valid passport
- Substantial sea time and experience as Chief Officer
- Ability to independently and confidently operate the vessel during own watch in rough seas and strong winds
- Strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to supervising and motivating the crew
- Ability to follow up on maintenance tasks and ensure completion of jobs in Premaster
- UK ETA to be obtained before travel, as requested by the employer
Conditions
- Planned start: 24 November 2026 - exact joining and training dates to be confirmed
- Initial arrangement: 14 days of onboard training followed by one working rotation
- Opportunity for permanent employment following the initial period
- Crew change via Aberdeen, followed by a road transfer to Kyle of Lochalsh, approximately 5–6 hours
