Able Bodied Seaman on Norwegian general cargo

We are looking for an experienced Able Seaman for a Norwegian general cargo / fish-feed carrier operating in Scotland, with the possibility of permanent employment.

Requirements

  • Able Seafarer Deck certificate
  • valid seafarer’s medical certificate
  • Bridge Watchkeeping certificate
  • valid ISPS training certificate
  • valid permission to enter the UK (ETA, not UK permit to work!)
  • strong practical and hands-on maintenance skills
  • good work ethic
  • willingness to take responsibility for maintenance tasks
  • comfortable using a maintenance management system
  • solid previous experience as Able Seaman preferred.

Conditions

  • Expected joining around 8 December 2026
  • rotation 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off
  • NOK 66,158 gross fixed monthly salary for candidates with 15 years or more seniority
  • travel days to and from the vessel paid at 8 hours of hourly pay per travel day
