ICE ADVISORY – POLAR WATERS

Nordcrewing specializes in Ice Advisory services for polar regions, with a strong focus on the Canadian Arctic, Greenland, and Antarctica. Our team consists of senior officers with extensive experience navigating in challenging ice conditions.

Our Ice Advisors bring hands-on knowledge from a wide range of vessels, including icebreakers, cargo ships, cruise vessels, and research ships. Scroll down to meet some of the experts behind our operations.

All our advisors hold the Level 2 Ice Navigator Certificate issued by the Nautical Institute — the highest certification available. This qualification requires verified time navigating in both ice-covered waters and designated Polar regions, along with mandatory Ice Navigation and Polar Code training.

ICE ADVISORY – BALTIC SEA, GULF OF FINLAND & BOTHNIA BAY

Based in Estonia, we also provide Ice Advisory services for vessels operating in the Baltic Sea, Gulf of Finland, and Bothnia Bay.

Our Ice Advisors typically embark from The Skaw, the end of Kiel Canal, or Tallinn roads, where we have reliable solutions in place for crew transfers via launch boats. Advisors can also join or disembark at any port on arrival or departure, depending on the client’s preference. Through our trusted agent network, we can arrange smooth and flexible boarding anywhere you need it — always at a fair price.

REMOTE ICE ADVISORY

We also offer Remote Ice Advisory — an innovative and cost-effective alternative to onboard advisory.

Our advisors, many of whom are active on icebreakers, have access to real-time ice data, satellite imagery, and forecasting tools. This allows us to support vessels and Masters remotely on a daily basis, helping experienced crews make informed decisions while navigating in ice.

This remote service has been tested and proven with multiple satisfied clients.

PRICING
